Main research question: Exploring feminist genre-making through animation

Background: From the 1960s to the 1980s, the second wave of the feminist movement saw women filmmakers move away from traditional thinking and speak out to the world from a female perspective. The question of whether we need to be truly perfect or be ourselves is still widely debated around the world.

Aims: To understand the development of female-oriented cinema and the differences in perceptions today by comparing the early experimental films with the more recent animated films, through the existing animated films with female protagonists, such as Youth Around the World and Mulan, as well as the first female experimental films from the 1960s to the 1980s.

Once you have understood the content of my research, if you feel in any way uncomfortable about continuing the questionnaire or the content of the interview because of this content, you can stop the project at any time and we will not count you in the sample size.
